Happy Mother’s Day to all those moms out there. I hope that you were able to sleep in and that all your wishes get granted today. In our house, we’re off to a good start.
When I came out of my bedroom this morning, my son, husband and dog were waiting for me with gifts. Three boxes of Toffifay from my husband and the afternoon free from responsibilities so I can do whatever I want. A paper flower, poem and card from my son. A few licks from the dog.
My son wrote about me in his card and it’s pretty telling to read what he wrote.
My Mother has straight black hair and brown eyes. She likes to paint, cook, and speak. Her favorite food is gumbo. I like it when she takes me to Barnes and Noble. My Mom is special because she loves Me.
Ahhhhh! That’s what I needed for Mother’s Day (as well as the shoes that I want to shop for later this afternoon!)
As I finish off this blog post, it’s 8:00 am my son and I are still in our PJs and Lego Ninjago is on the TV. I’ve got a load of laundry in the wash, dishes are half done. My husband is on a bike ride and the weather is unseasonably lovely for Houston. THIS is my life and I love it!
It’s gonna be a great day!

During my Mother’s Day shopping adventure I bought a nice dress, some jewelry, new heels AND a coachroach costume. Really, I did!
